Bill Gates and Warren Buffet Bet Big on Energy
Warren Buffet is making big bets on energy, and specifically on the electricity sector. He owns one of the largest traditional electric utilities in the United States, the largest solar power plant, and one of the largest wind farms.
When Forbes Magazine asked the legendary investor why he is so bullish on electricity, Buffet replied, "Energy deregulation will be the largest transfer of wealth in history." As energy markets are opened up to competition, consumers and businesses will have more choices to make. The market is ripe for Independent Energy Consultants who will help businesses and consumers choose wisely. |
Buffet's good friend Bill Gates agrees. The founder of Microsoft was asked on television recently "which industry will produce the next Bill Gates?" His answer was, "the energy industry. . . there will be some great careers there." Gates sees the energy business not only as a good investment and a great career, but also critical to our ability to solve the world's major problems. Creating jobs, growing the economy, protecting the environment, and reducing poverty and hunger all depend on our ability to innovate and manage our energy costs, according to Gates. John Howley |
